Wanted suspects were re-arrested

According to police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Sergio Kock, a total of 178 suspects were apprehended for various crimes in the Northern Cape province during operations from November 23rd to November 26th, 2023. Kock says the offenses included dealing in drugs, possession of illegal cigarettes, illegal dealing in liquor, possession of counterfeit goods, possession of drugs, robbery, detention of illegal immigrants, and theft. He says additionally, the police successfully traced and arrested 143 daily wanted suspects who had been evading arrest for crimes such as murder, rape, assault GBH, and illegal possession of firearms. The police actions also targeted the confiscation of dangerous weapons, drugs like crystal meth, tik, dagga, mandrax, and vehicles. Tuck shops were raided, and expired items were removed and destroyed as well.
