Police arrested 2 suspects in Kimberley

On Friday, the 24th of November 2023, the police in Kimberley arrested two men, aged 30 and 33, for tampering with infrastructure and possession of suspected stolen property. Sergeant Dikeledi Gopane, the police spokesperson, stated that the operation's first phase involved conducting blue light patrols in areas such as Roodepan, Galeshewe, Kimberley, and Kagisho. During this phase, a total of 387 individuals were stopped and searched. Other activities included foot beat patrol at the Diamond Pavillion and North Cape mall, where community members were educated about crime prevention and safety tips. Compliance inspections were also carried out at liquor outlets. The two suspects are expected to appear in the Kimberley Magistrates Court.
