In an inspiring display of environmental innovation,
a local recycling and waste management business called Upington Recycling has revolutionized
its operations by using its premises to produce polywood from the waste
material they are recycling. Situated in the industrial area of Upington, this forward-thinking
facility has redefined traditional waste management practices, aiming to minimise
waste and maximize resource efficiency.
Rian Steyn from Upington Recycling explains
how he wanted to add value to the products they are handling and
says Polywood is the answer. He says, Polywood is a durable and eco-friendly alternative
to traditional wood and is as strong as the real deal.

Steyn says, the materials used for Polywood such as wood fibers
and recycled plastics are carefully selected, sorted, and processed on the site. He says, Upington Recycling's
commitment to sustainability goes beyond the production of polywood. Steyn says sections of
the premises have been transformed into a furniture production unit, a hair salon
as well as a clinic and all are furnished with the Polywood produced on-site. He says these eco-innovators have established a whole new way of living
eco-friendly.....
