Premier Zamani Saul joined by the district development champion and minister Noxolo Kiewiet took part in the inaugural Francis Baard district  economic growth summit. This summit is the third Economic Summit to be held in the Province following the  Pixley ka Seme and the ZFM Districts. The Namakwa Investment Summit is set to take follow on 20 and 21 November 2023.  All districts are set to host Economic Growth Summits which will culminate into the Provincial Economic Growth and Investment Summit to be held later this year.  The summits are hosted in partnership with Provincial Government in an effort to respond to the needs identified by Government to enhance economic growth as a key driver of development and prosperity for the province. This initiative is aimed at ensuring a sustainable and inclusive growth trajectory, all within the framework of the District Development Model (DDM).
