The Northern Cape Department of Education has confirmed that there has been an outbreak of measles at the Phillipsvale Primary School in Phillipstown. MEC, Zolile Monakali, responsible for the department of education says that it has engaged with the Department of Health and agreed that the school will be closed for 5 days to allow for fumigation and prevent further spread of the virus.
