The Tsantsabane local municipality has released an official notice in an attempt to warn and inform the public against a SCAM which has come to their attention that is being committed against community members in the area. The municipality says there are people disguising as Municipal officials calling the public looking for their prove of Banking and also suggesting to the public that they hand over their details immediately at the Municipality. As a result hereof the municipality says in their notice that they do not call the public on weekends for their details, and don't use private numbers or cell numbers. The municipality encourages community members not to give anyone their banking details without verifying who the person is and asks that they be careful most especially with the increase in scam activities during the festive season which is only a few weeks away .
