The station commander of Upington brigadier Peet Coetzee commended the swift response by the member of rural safety in securing an arrest suspects for stock theft on Friday night, the 10th November 2023. Police spokesperson sergent Omphile Masegela says the stand by member received information about a white Volkswagen Caddy Bakkie allegedly transporting stolen livestock on the Rietfontein road. Masegela says the vehicle was searched and police recovered carcasses, a sheep and other items to the value of R8000.00. She says the vehicle that was used in the commission of crime was impounded. According to information, the owner of the livestock was present to identify his property. The 4 suspects are expected to appear at court soon. Masegela says the following . . . "Insert" (SHEEP)
