Police held a cancer awareness at the Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe hospital in Kimberley yesterday, the 7th November 2023. Police spokesperson Lieutenant colonel Sergio Kock says the purpose of the campaign was to inform the patients about vital information regarding breast, prostate and cervical cancer and different treatments offered by government. Kock says Lieutenant general Koliswa Otola focused on taking personal responsibility for your own health and do regularly body checks as "early detection" is key in having victory over cancer. He says participants were afforded an opportunity to donate blood, conduct health screenings, sports massages, participate in sporting activities, mass aerobics and Zumba at the SANDF.
