The South African Police Service in the Northern Cape yesterday held a special medal parade to honour and give recognition to those members of the service, who have produced outstanding work. Premier of the Northern Cape Dr. Zamani Saul, delivered the keynote address at this ceremony which was held at the 3 SAI Army Base in Kimberley. According to a statement, this ceremony was attended by various other officials including the acting Deputy National Commissioner of Support Services Let. General L Ntshiea and the Provincial Commissioner of the Northern Cape, Lt Gen Koliswa Otola. Officials were honored with amongst others medals in recognition of meritorious service, deeds of bravery and long-standing service of 10, 20 and 30 years. The statement further says, a total amount of 218 members were awarded medals 29 for 30 Years of Service, 83 for 20 Years of Service and 106 of 10 years of Service.
