GCIS and the Department of COGHSTA in the Northern Cape yesterday facilitated an engagement with the Tshedimosetso Bagolo NPO and the Community Works Programme (CWP) participants in Dinokeng village, Tsineng in the John Taolo Gaetsewe District. The NPO shared on their official social media that the engagement was to share information with the NPO on processes to follow to receive support from government and further added that they developed a Community Food Garden to create a sustainable and inclusive food system that ensures everyone has access to nutritious and affordable food. The NPO says that they are exploring an idea to form a cooperative that will focus mainly on the development of the Food Garden and establishing a community sewing centre. SEDA receiving the opportunity to share information and advice on processes to follow and tap into the various opportunities presented by government and other partners while the IEC also shared information at this engagement about the importance of registering to vote in the upcoming National and Provincial Elections of 2024.
