The Tsantsabane local municipality has released an official statement addressing the water supply interruption issues for the Khuting area in Boichoko. In this statement the municipality acknowledges that for the past month the Khuting area had experience water supply interruption, which was previously investigated with no cause to this issue that could be reported. The municipality says the water unit of continued to investigate the matter and have now found the root cause of the problem which was that of a particular resident who built a wall on top of municipal infrastructure and caused a pipe blockage within the line in question. The municipality reports that the owner was contacted to demolish the structure but says the owner is refusing to demolish the structure and by so doing this continues to affect the water supply in that area. The municipality in their statement has assured community members that the municipality is working on the solution to the problem and issues a plea with the community not to illegally extend the boundaries of their residential places(yards) and to stop building on top of the municipal services.
