Police confiscated Tik worth R12 000-00

A 47 year old suspect was arrested after he allegedly failed to stop at a Vehicle Control Point on the N10 near Upington. According to the police, the man was arrested on the 2nd of November 2023. Police spokesperson Lieutenant colonel Sergio Kock says the Upington K-9 unit, border police and highway patrol chased the vehicle and confiscated Tik worth about R12 000-00 from the suspect. Kock says in a separate incident also on the second of November 2023, the Colesburg highway patrol attended to an accident scene on the N1 road and seized bags of dagga inside and outside the truck with a street value of about R100 000-00 and arrested a 57 year old man. Both these suspects are expected to appear in the different courts today.
