Police arrested 212 suspects for an assortment of crimes such as dealing in drugs, possession of illegal cigarettes, illegal dealing in liquor, possession of counterfeit goods, possession of drugs and others. The police say, the arrest was made during the operation shanela over the weekend. Police spokesperson sergeant Molefi Shemane says the disruptive actions commenced on Thursday, the 26th October 2023 and concluded on Sunday, the 29th October 2023.
