Final leg of skills development roadshow

The Pixley Ka Seme district municipality in collaboration with Merseta are currently conducting the final leg of a skills development roadshow which was started for the benefit of the youth between the ages of 18 and 35 who are interested in acquiring skills within the fields of engineering. This roadshow has been commenced across all five districts with the Northern Cape and is closing of today in the siyancuma and siyathemba municipal areas. The Pixley Ka Seme district municipality initially said that the aim of this project has been to identify, recruit, train, skill and certify youth through various MerSETA programs including learnerships in the field of being an electrician, welder, and bevoming artisans amongst other things. Included in this initiative is also to provide access to bursaries for manufacturing and industrial engineering courses.
