Police hosted a campaign at Kimberley high school

The South African Police Service in the Northern Cape says, bullying in schools remains a challenge and from their side, awareness programs are held on a regular basis. The police say, they held an awareness campaign at a high school in Kimbelrey yesterday, Police spokesperson Lieutenant colonel Sergio Kock says the campaign was attended by police officials, educators and Grade 8 and 9 learners. Kock says according to the department of education more than 58% of learners have experienced some form of bullying and some have ended in more serious tragedies in which victims have either died from this act or have in some instances committed suicide. Parent involvement and support to learners is encouraged in this regard.
