The MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism Abraham Vosloo alongside the district head of education in ZF Mgcawu district, led the district Grade 12 Pledge Ceremony held at the Rietfontein Community Hall, in Rietfontein the past Friday. In his remarks MEC Vosloo indicated the many opportunities available to the learners when they work hard and persevere. He says, these include the Premier's Bursary Scheme aimed at ensuring that Northern Cape learners are able to attend tertiary institutions despite their background situation. According to a statement the MEC gifted the learners with a Parker pen set as a symbol that a pen is mightier than the sword. The Northern Cape provincial results will be released on 19 January2024, which will be followed by the annual Matric Awards Ceremony.
