The South African Police Service is warning against driving under the influence of alcohol as it is found to be one of the primary causes of accidents and fatalities on the roads. The police says they will together with other law enforcement agencies continue to dedicate themselves to this goal. Motorists and the public is urged by law enforcement agencies to abide by the safety
advice and cautions about driving after intoxication. The police also say, they will keep setting up roadblocks and random Vehicle Check
Points (VCP) where drivers will be pulled over and
examined and if found to be intoxicated, they will be arrested and
charged with Driving Under the Influence.
