The MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs, Bentley Vass will be visiting the Pixley ka seme district
municipality tomorrow for the purpose of handing over seven fire fighting
trailers to the municipalities in the district. Spokesperson for Coghsta in the Northern Cape Tshenolo Meruti provides that the handing over of these trailers
comes as a fire prevention attempt in light of recent runaway veld fires which raged
in and around the town of Danielskuil in the gatelopele local municipality as
well as other parts of the country where windy dry and hot conditions have been
experienced. This program is scheduled to begin tomorrow morning at 08:00 at
the military hall in Schmidtsdrif.
