Prieska regional court convicted and sentenced a 42 year old man to 14 years imprisonment for attempted rape of which 5 years are suspended for five years. The sentence was handed down yesterday, the 20th of September 2023. Police spokesperson sergeant Molefi Shemane says the accused was found guilty of raping an 8 year old female victim, who reported the incident to her mother.
