The provincial second hand goods office (DSO's) conducted a 2-day designated second hand goods officers work session that commencend on Tuesday, the 12th September 2023 to Wednesday, the 13th September 2023 in Kimberley police station's green doors boardroom. Police spokesperson sergeant Timothy Sam says the purpose of the work session was to guide the DSO's to perform their duties optimally to address challenges identified by the provincial office and to determine challenges experienced by DSO's. Sam says Vodacom's Mr. Hardley Goliath highlighted the ramping up of security systems at their base stations due to theft and vandalism, the security features are part of the working relations with police and for easy identification of perpetrators. He says 4 suspects were arrested for possession of alleged stolen property through stop and searches and vehicle patrols.
