The department of Justice and Constitutional Development in the Northern Cape is commemorating the Access to Justice Week in the John Taolo Gaetsewe district from 14-18 August 2023 where the JCPS Cluster is taking services to the community. The department says during this program, they are giving free legal advice desks with the aim of strengthen the criminal justice system. The department says the same program will be rolled out in the ZF Mgcawu district next week from 21 - 24 August 2023 where various stakeholders will be exhibiting and rending services on educating the communities on the 3 amended GBV legislation, sexual offences, customary marriages and justice service available as well as the role of each stakeholder, department or organizations plays.
