National director of public prosecutions

The national director of public prosecutions advocate Shamila Batohi is conducting an oversight visit to the NPA regional office in Kimberly where she is meeting with divisional provincial managers and staff from various units. The visit is part of the NDPP’s Program to improve service delivery. Several interventions, including the filling of 70 vacancies,  have been put in place to capacitate the Nothern Cape Division.  During the visit, Adv Batohi also commended the SCCU, Organised Crime Unit and AFU for working together in the fight against organised crime and corruption. The engagement was followed by an unannounced visit to Kimberly magistrates’ Court and Galeshewe magistrates’ Court where she met and engaged with prosecutors on the ground.
