Woman’s day celebration

The chairperson of the African National Congress Women’s League in the Northern Cape Mirriam Kibi, talked about the role of a woman in the politics and the readiness of the nation to have a woman as the president of South Africa. Kibi was speaking at a womens day celebration held in Schmidtdrift. She mentions that the role of a woman is to unite, support and attend the needs of the community as they should be attended.  Kibi says women are ready to stand up for the nation. Kibi says even though there is that “pull down syndrome” that leads the woman not to support each other in different things, if that can first be addressed then the country can be ready to have a woman as a president and be united.
