public hearings concluded in the Northern Cape

Parliament’s National Assembly Portfolio Committee on Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development conducted its public hearings in the Northern Cape province. The hearings were concluded in Prieska at the  Omega Community Hall yesterday. The public hearings are a nationwide public participation campaign for members of the public and all other interested stakeholders to make comments and inputs on the Preservation and Development of the Agricultural Land Bill. This nationwide public participation campaign is also expected to visit provinces like Free State and Gauteng. Member of Parliament and Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee, iNkosi Zwelivelile Mandela, says after concluding the public hearings,  the report will be presented  to the National Assembly for adoption, thereafter to the  National Council Of Provinces, for Process where it will then be taken to the President, Cyril Ramaphosa to sign it into Law.
