AgriSA Emphasises Protection of Private Property Rights
AgriSA has reaffirmed its commitment to defending private property rights, underlining their importance for South Africa’s agricultural sector and food security.
AgriSA says, land serves as a key foundation for agriculture and acts as crucial collateral for production financing. The organisation has called on government to transfer 2.5 million hectares bought for redistribution to promote agricultural development.
An independent assessment by the GOPA Group South Africa confirmed that private property rights are essential for capital formation, job creation, and economic growth. While supporting land reform and transformation, AgriSA stresses that these measures must not compromise the economy.
The organisation says remains dedicated to
