The Department of Economic Development and Tourism says, in partnership with various stakeholders, they hosted a successful Information Session on Entrepreneurship Development, Access to Finance, and Business Compliance at the Pampierstad Library. Information states that the session brought together local entrepreneurs and small business owners to gain valuable insights on: Accessing finance through government incentive schemes, Understanding blended funding options and compliance requirements and Funding application processes and avoiding common pitfalls

Furthermore, presentations made were to empower SMMEs with the tools and knowledge to grow and formalize their businesses with practical guidance on:Purchase order finance, NEF and Spaza Shop Fund products, DSBD and SMME blended funding amongst others.

The Department stated that the event highlighted the importance of building an inclusive economy through meaningful support to township and rural entrepreneurs.
