Conducted operation under the babber Operation Shanela ii

The South African Police Service has continued its weekly crime-fighting efforts across the Northern Cape, targeting priority crimes and reinforcing the authority of the state.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Molefi Shemane stated that the latest operations were conducted between 28 July and 3 August 2025 under the banner of Operation Shanela II. Shemane says, these intensified, high-density interventions are part of SAPS's ongoing commitment to building a safer South Africa.
