Premier Dr Zamani Saul to Lead Provincial Women’s Day Commemoration in Douglas
Northern Cape Premier, Dr Zamani Saul, will lead the Provincial Women’s Day Commemoration on Saturday, 9 August 2025, at Bongani High School in Douglas.
The event will take place under the theme “Building Resilient Economies for All” and marks two key milestones, the 69th anniversary of the historic 1956 Women’s March to the Union Buildings and 30 years since the official recognition of National Women’s Day in South Africa.
Members of the Executive Council, along with the Executive Mayors of Pixley ka Seme District and Siyancuma Local Municipality, will join the Premier at the event.
The programme aims to honour the resilience and contributions of women across
the province, with a particular focus on their role in local economic
development, leadership, and social cohesion.
