Northern Cape and Limpopo Provinces Engage in High-Level Bilateral Meeting to Strengthen Collaboration on Infrastructure and Economic Development

The Northern Cape Provincial Government says in a statement, the Northern Cape and Limpopo provincial governments convened a high-level bilateral meeting aimed at enhancing inter-provincial cooperation on infrastructure and economic development.

According to the statement, the engagement, held in Limpopo, was led by Northern Cape Premier Dr. Zamani Saul, accompanied by senior provincial officials, including the MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs, Bentley Vass, and the MEC for Public Works, Fufe Makatong.

Information indicates that Limpopo Premier Dr. Phophi Ramathuba hosted the meeting, which focused on the exchange of knowledge, strategies, and experiences between the two provinces. The provincial government of the Northern Cape says discussions centred on three main objectives, sharing effective practices and lessons learned in infrastructure development, exploring funding models that support sustainable growth projects, and identifying opportunities for collaborative initiatives that can benefit both provinces.

The statement further alludes that the bilateral engagement forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen intergovernmental relations and drive inclusive development across provincial boundaries.
