Minister Nzimande to Speak at 2025 NSTF-South32 Awards
The Department of Science Innovation and Technology says the minsiter, Prof Blade Nzimande, will deliver the keynote address at the 2025 National Science and Technology Forum-South32 (NSTF-South32) Awards on Thursday, 31 July, at the Sandton Convention Centre.
The department says, the hybrid event will also connect to Cape Town’s CTICC, where Deputy Minister Nomalungelo Gina will give the vote of thanks. The NSTF-South32 Awards, launched in 1998, honour excellence in science, technology and innovation.
This year’s theme, “Quantum Science and Technology in South Africa”, highlights achievements across 16 categories, including a lifetime award for over 15 years’ contribution to the field.
The department says, the event marks 27 years of the
awards and 30 years of the NSTF. It also features the NSTF Brilliants
Programme, which recognises last year’s top matric achievers in maths and
physical science. The ceremony starts at 16:00 and will be streamed live on the
NSTF YouTube channel.
