Vedanta Zinc International as a key partner of the Northern Cape Department of Education in its efforts to deliver quality public education.
The MEC responsible for Education in the Northern Cape, Abraham Vosloo yesterday met with Vedanta Zinc International to Strengthen Education Partnerships. Information indicates that the department deems Vedanta Zinc International as a key partner of the Northern Cape Department of Education in its efforts to deliver quality public education.
Further information indicates that Vedanta Zinc International currently provides annual financial support to 11 public schools and 12 Community-Based Centres in the Namakwa District. Vosloo during this engagement expressed gratitude for the continued support and commitment by Vedanta Zinc International through its investment in education.
Vosloo alluded that Vedanta Zinc International's contribution highlights the vital role that private sector partnerships fulfill in improving educational opportunities and outcomes in local communities. Additionally, Vosloo stated that education is a societal matter.
