Northern Cape Showcases Natural Gems at Africa’s Travel Indaba 2025

The Northern Cape Department of Agriculture, Environmental Affairs, Rural Development and Land Reform is participating in the prestigious Africa’s Travel Indaba Exhibition, which kicked off on Monday, 12 May 2025, and will conclude tomorrow, 15 May 2025 at the Nkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban.

Leading the provincial delegation is Chief Director Thabang Sibhono, who is heading the Environment and Nature Conservation team in showcasing some of the Northern Cape’s most breathtaking natural attractions. The department says, featured at this year’s exhibition are the Oorlogskloof, Rolfontein, Doornkloof, and Goegap Nature Reserves—hidden gems that reflect the province’s unique biodiversity and eco-tourism potential.

Themed “Unlimited Africa”, the 2025 edition of Africa’s Travel Indaba brings together tourism stakeholders from 27 African countries, aiming to unlock the continent’s tourism and business potential. 

The three-day trade exhibition is preceded by the Business Opportunity Networking Day, a knowledge-sharing platform tailored to foster thought leadership and provide the latest insights into global tourism trends.
