Subject Clinic Underway To Strengthen Teaching Strategies, Improve Learner Performance

The Northern Cape Department of Education today commenced with subject clinics for the FET phase at the Kimberly Technical High School. According to the Department the clinic will span over three days and will thus conclude on May 11, 2025. 

Focus subjects during the clinic include but are not limited to: Afrikaans, English, Setswana, Isixhosa Home and additional languages respectively, Electrical Technology, and Technical science. 

The Department stated that the objective of the workshop is to strengthen teaching strategies, improve learner performance, increase participation  in Technical subjects  across the province  and to reach the 90% target of the NSC final exams. Additionally, the Department stated that it recognizes  the critical role of partnerships with teachers in the on-going efforts to improve learner performance, with specific focus on the matric results.
