Some community members in the ZF Mgcawu District has responded with mixed feelings to recent developments regarding natural gas. This follows a statement by Electricity Minister Dr. Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, who warned that South Africa faces both risks and opportunities due to the dwindling natural gas reserves in Pande, Mozambique.
Dr. Ramokgopa announced that South Africa will no longer be able to import natural gas from Mozambique after 2026, urging citizens and stakeholders to collaborate in addressing the looming shortage.
