Kolomela mine makes donations to non-profit organisation

Kumba Iron Ore’s Kolomela mine donated an amount of R50,000 earlier this month to Lefelo Motsatsing reportedly in an effort to manage food insecurity in these host communities. Kolomela mine says through donations like these, they want to ensure that a contribution is made to eradicate poverty in the community. Lefelo Motsatsing is a local non-profit entity that cares for the homeless and abandoned children in the community in aid of its community kitchen in the Tsanstabane local municipal area. According to an official statement by Kolomela mine the organization focuses on schools, and runs several projects that ultimately seek to improve the living conditions of the homeless and children in Tsantsabane’s communities and will reportedly apply the donation to provide healthy meals to those in need, in a safe and caring space. The organization expressed their gratitude for this donation and says that through this donation they will be able to feed the community of Marantheng.
